JOINERY WORKSHOPS

In joinery courses the student is provided with materials, plans and guidance for several different projects, with varying degrees of difficulty.
Joinery courses feature excellent tools, including Japanese, Barr and Sorby chisels.
All 4 levels of joinery are taught duing the same class.
These projects go home with the student to provide a reference piece.
Joinery classes always run for 2 days from 9am through 5pm.
Pictured above is the level 1 project, a simple bracket which introduces square rule joinery.

The level 2 project , pictured below, is a scale model of a square rule corner post, with braced top plate and tiebeam connections

Level 3 Joinery project introduces snap line joinery. Snap line joinery uses plumb and level lines on timber ends and faces to create a plumb and level layout system.. The project plans offered will prepare the student for layout and cutting of kingpost truss systems and working in angles other than 90 and 45deg.
